First and foremost we are overwhelmed by the outreach and love shown for Kelley Brooks as you all learn of her recent health struggles. We appreciate you all. At this time we are asking for you to please lift Kelley and her family up in your prayers.
It is with a heavy heart we also ask you please consider a donation for expenses as we begin to transition her into home hospice and plan for her celebration of life.
Kelley has been hospitalized at St Anthony’s since mid January for what was originally assumed to be a gallbladder blockage. On February 15th she had surgery with multiple biopsies. On Feb 25th we learned the results showed Kelley has Stage 4 stomach cancer that has spread to nearby areas. Although the prognosis was not good, Kelley has a fighting spirit and chose to fight this out.
On February 27th, she went in for another surgery for the first step of her fight. It was during this surgery the doctors discovered the cancer is more advanced than originally anticipated. Sadly, Kelley is no longer a candidate for chemotherapy. She is expected to be transferred home for comfort with hospice care.
Please continue to keep Kelley and her family in your prayers as we journey through this difficult time in our lives.
