Kelley, Brian and Jaxon McGrath

Donation protected
Hi there,

My name is Greer and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my sister, Kelley, and her husband Brian, get through an emotional and physical crisis.

On August 11th, Kelley went to her doctor's office because she had an irregular feeling about her pregnancy, only two weeks out from her due date. Her baby girl was due August 25th and we have all been so excited waiting to meet her. Unfortunately, Kelley left the appointment with the worst news possible - there was no longer a heartbeat due to a knot/tear in the umbilical cord. Kelley and Brian then had to go through the unimaginable and deliver their beautiful baby girl knowing that they would never see her eyes open.

On behalf of my sister and Brian, and all the Rooneys/McGraths, we are asking for any donation to help them have the time to heal from this shocking grief. Kelley has been a long-time employee of the Briar Group, bartending at Anthem for 4 years before the pandemic and then helping open The Beth in Hingham Shipyard and working every brunch shift since. Brian has been working for UPS for the last few years. They expected to have time off with Maternity/Paternity pay but due to the nature of this situation, will not be able to rely on these benefits. Our families want to ensure that instead of rushing back to work (both of which have no "work-from-home" option) Kelley and Brian can take the time to process and grieve, spend time with their awesome son Jaxon, and make sure they all are able to get through this - emotionally and mentally - without worrying about money.

Kelley is recovering physically, but her body is going through all the post-partum experiences without being able to hold her Alice Ann. Brian is also recovering, but is also emotionally exhausted from grief from the whole ordeal and watching the love of his life go through this turmoil. Jaxon is doing his job perfectly and giving all the love and snuggles necessary without his 2-year-old brain comprehending what is happening, but somehow knowing exactly when to cue kisses and giggles. This is what we hope the McGraths are able to focus on right now, not adding any more stress to this situation financially.

I very much thank you for taking the time to read this, and any donation, kind words, gifts, well-wishes are SO appreciated. Alice had a lovely spirit, always moving and grooving in Kell's bell, she was so loved and she will forever be in Wonderland.

xoxo.
