Kelley A. Palmer Wilcox

Hello Friends,

My name is Mindy (Medina) Cumberland. I am a lifelong friend of a Kelley’s. Our beloved friend left this earth on September 21, 2023, after a brave battle against Pulmonary Hypertension Disorder. I grieve with so many others that loved her. Her bright, megawatt-smile, infectious laugh and sassy down to earth attitude, made her easy to love. She had a heart of gold and was an incredibly generous person with her time, friendship or even monetarily - if a friend or loved one, was in need.

The last 7 years of Kelley’s life, she was unable to work at her profession as a dedicated Delta Airlines Flight Attendant (formerly Northwest Airlines). She started her career in December 1991 and was still technically employed at the time of her passing. In 2016, Kelley took on the role of sole caregiver for her beloved mother Vanette, until her death in 2020. During this time Kelley learned she had the condition of Pulmonary Hypertension, which made it impossible for her to return to work as a flight attendant. Kelley always envisioned the day she could go back to working in the capacity that she loved and was perfectly suited (as her cherished coworkers will attest to).

Kelley’s medical condition made it extremely difficult on her financially and she struggled daily to make ends meet. Through it all, she still managed to be happy, stay positive, laugh at herself while making others laugh, as well.

Her son Derek (wife Shelby), daughters Brooke and Brittany meant everything to Kelley and she loved them wholeheartedly.

Sadly, even after Kelley’s untimely passing, her family is left to deal with her medical and other bills.

I’m hoping that we can honor Kelley, by helping her beloved children with these expenses. Any amount will be greatly appreciated - no amount is too small. Any funds raised over the stated amount will go to help cover any unforeseen costs relating to Kelley’s estate.

Kelley will be remembered with a Celebration of her Fantastic Life on Sunday, October 15, 12pm-4pm at The Elks Lodge, 500 Bush Street, Woodland, CA.
