Stand with Keller and Baby Henry in Their Darkest Hour
Hi, I'm Julie, little Henry's grandmother, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read our story. Henry's father Joe was only 32 years old when he was shot dead by his stepfather while helping his parents at their home. His mother was also murdered alongside her only child. My daughter, Keller, is now a widow at 27, raising a 4 month old baby who will never know his father. She and Joe relocated from Kansas City to the Dallas area to help take care of Joe's aging parents. With these unimaginable murders, Keller has been robbed not only of her husband but of her only family and support system in the area.
Any money donated will be used to help keep Henry and Keller in their home during this tragic transition from a caring father providing for his family to a widow struggling with a baby. Keller is in such shock and grief she is not emotionally prepared to leave their family home right now and uproot her entire life again to move near her family. Contributions will support this shattered family with immediate daily expenses and possible future moving costs. Any additional contributions will be saved for Henry's future.
Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated. If you aren't able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
The Light that was Joseph
Joseph Woods was a free-spirited man with big dreams and an endless supply of energy. Whether he was remodeling the kitchen or sprucing up the backyard with fresh grass, he let his creativity run wild. Now, when it came to music, he was a bit of a snob. You'd better believe he'd judge you for your taste in tunes!
Sports were Joseph's jam. He couldn't resist a good game of flag football, pickup basketball, or some laid-back hockey with friends. After graduating from Baylor University, he met his wife, Keller, in Kansas City. They tied the knot in 2020 and soon welcomed their little son, Henry, into the world in early 2023.
As a brand-new dad, Joseph went all out. He spoiled Henry with a crazy amount of books and toys. And boy, did he love bragging that his little guy was born in the great state of Texas! Father's Day couldn't come soon enough for him—he was super stoked to celebrate with his adorable son.
Joseph had a heart of gold. He was always ready to crack a joke, lend a hand, or offer some playful sarcasm. Losing him not only dimmed our world, but it made us realize just how much of a treasure he was to us all.
