Keller Jude's Fight

Donation protected

As many of you know, Keller Jude is fighting a good fight while intubated as we await answers on his diagnosis. In layman's terms, his body cannot hold a red blood cell count to allow supply of oxygen to his body. His situation is unique, although a few variables are on the table and some more prominent amongst Down's Syndrome, his body does not react to certain, much needed medication, as they are designed to cure. With that being said, his recovery may be a prolonged, trial and error process. The appropriate tests are now being ran and we remain patient for his "why" but it's still another day passed where seconds feel like an eternity.

I created this page with the intent of easing the financial burden for the Abshire family during this difficult time. This is a family that will not ask for help themselves and if you offer, they graciously will decline as they refuse to allow their situation burden others. The outpour of support they've received thus far from their family, friends and community is nothing short of a miracle. The gratitude they have cannot be matched with a thank you. Despite the heavy pain she is enduring, Megan is already planning on how to "repay" those that have helped her and that is why I ask for your help because the Abshire family would do the same for you. Whether they know you or not, your time of need would be theirs, no questions asked.

This is their time of need.

The number one ask still remains type B- or O- blood donations directly to Vitalant In Lafayette, Louisiana. Please let them know the donation is in the name of Keller Jude Abshire, there is an intake process for this to be directly sent to him.

Kenny is at home with their three other children, Sawyer, Cash and Veda as they desperately pray for their brother to return home soon. With that, comes the need for meals, travel expenses as Lafayette may not have the answers they need, hygiene as Megan hasn't left Keller's side, etc. This situation puts Megan out of her much needed income, as well as Kenny juggling a household alone while attempting to maintain his full-time employment, with the understanding, from time to time, he may need to take off.

We have watched Keller overcome the impossible, time and time again, his ability to fight through the toughest of times serves that his purpose here is undeniably greater than we understand.

Your prayers continue to be a miracle for this sweet boy.
