Thank you more than anything for just looking.
I am hoping and trying to help my mother. Two years ago, my dad suffered a critical stroke. He was hospitalized and never able to recover in order to go home. He was in a long term care facility and couldn't do much.
We were able to communicate through blinking, winking, and hand squeezing. I am very grateful for the two extra years we were able to have with him after his stroke. We still got to go see our Dad and still share our lives with him.
He was a veteran of the US Army and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, a life devoted to service. He and my mom are both from Toledo, Ohio and loved visiting family. Dad went to Central Catholic High and Mom to Cardinal Stritch. We all have fond memories of visiting Toledo. The raised their family in Huntington Beach and called that home. All kids were Edison Chargers. He was a funny and loving man that enjoyed the simple things in life. We miss the silly things he did.
My mom and family faithfully visited my dad daily, so he knew he was loved and never alone. Sadly, my Dad passed away just before the holidays. We had his funeral the day after Thanksgiving. I know he is in a better place, but I so badly want to go see his smile. We all do.
My mom is in need of help with hospital bills, funeral expenses, and moving costs, as she had to move from the home they shared.
I pray for her and would be forever grateful if there is anyone out there that is willing to help my mom and the family with any contribution to assist with the costs.
Anything will help, no matter how small.
