Hi everyone! I wanted to give you an update on the results of Keli’s most recent visit to Mayo. As you may recall, she was seen in March as a follow up to the extensive surgery she had in September of 2018. Unfortunately, the doctors confirmed that the Ovarian Remnant Syndrome has formed once again. It has attached to several major organs, pulling and constricting their normal function. On May 31st, Keli will undergo her 17th surgery. This will be another major surgery, mirroring what she had done eight months ago. Clinical teams from the Oncology departments of Gastrointestinal and Gynecology will operate on her at the same time. They will remove the massive growth around her intestines and abdomen, as well as two suspicious growths in the gynecological region. She will be an inpatient at least four days, and will remain in the Mayo area two to three weeks.
