Most of you know by now, Kelcey was involved in a car accident at 27 weeks pregnant. She was driving down a highway at 55 mph when a car failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled out right in front of her. Both drivers and baby are alive but both cars were totaled. The other driver does not have insurance and unfortunately Kelcey's car insurance also lapsed. Her current loan will have to be paid off at $10,000. We are hoping most of the medical expenses will be taken care of through health insurance so our main goal is to take care of car expenses and help Kelcey get through the next three months without work while baby is in the hospital. Kelcey was life-flighted to Nashville for an emergency C-section where they had the resources to take care of such a small baby. She will be staying close to the hospital as much as possible which is an hour and a half away from home (without a car). Mom is doing okay, she is definitely sore and has a broken nose and lots of bruises. Baby was born on February 5th at 2 lbs 9 oz with concerns of keeping his blood pressure up and has a broken femur. There isn't much they can do about his femur at this time but there may be possible surgery/procedures once he is more stable.
