I can hardly believe that 10 years ago I was preparing for my first trip to Uganda. 2019 is here and I am excited to have the opportunity to return to a place that has had a piece of my heart for so long!
For 2 weeks I will be joining a team of volunteers at Amani Baby Cottage in Jinja, Uganda. Amani is a beautiful home that provides care for children ages newborn to 5, those ages where nurture and nutrition are so critical; their mission is to seek permanent homes for each child- through adoption yes- but they also have a strong focus on reuniting those in their care with family when possible. I feel honored to get to serve alongside these Mamas who are there giving day in and out. And I cannot wait to HOLD ALL THE BABIES!

I would appreciate your prayers and if you felt like donating financially it would mean so much to me. The trip is in April but I am hoping to purchase my plane ticket in the next few weeks. It's been in my heart for years to return to Uganda and I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity.
