Hello everyone,
My name is Megan Bugzavich, my boyfriend ace and I are here making this gofundme for our sweet boy Kekoa Blu. Kekoa Is a 7 year old pitbull who has changed the hearts and minds of every single person young and old who have been scared or disliked Pitbulls. Kekoa is a special and beyond rare, he truly is one in a trillion. The reason we are making this gofundme me is because Kekoa has been diagnosed with Spinal Cord Cancer. We initally took koa in at the start of April to visit our vet Due to him having a limp tail, which was not normal For him, dr recommended X-rays and blood work just in case . Once we did X-rays and blood work it was all negative. Two weeks went by, kekoa seemed uncomfortable
And was whimpering when he would straighten his back. So we decided to make an appointment with a specialist thinking he maybe pulled a muscle or injured something in his back while playing with his sister. On Tuesday May 3rd kekoa had an MRI done to hopfully find the issue. At 1200pm that day the dr showed me the MRI results, a large growth in kekoas lower lumbar spinal cord. We had an epidural done while he was still under to extract any fluid to be tested. May 4th around 430pm Dr lipsitz informs us Kekoas mass in his spinal cord is a cancer mass. Our hearts
Dropped, cancer? Kekoa is our universe, best damn dog, sweetest boy ever. Kekoa does Not deserve this. Why? What do we do? How much will it cost to help him. Well, unfortunately there is no cure for spinal cord cancer. Yet what we know is that we can try to do everything we can to help shrink the cancer mass. Radiation is our first step we have an appointment May 16th, the soonest they had. We are praying they can get us something sooner. Cancer won't wait. Along with trying acupuncture for the pressure in his cord and medications. We are going to do what Kekoa deserves, he deserves a fighting CHANCE.
