Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit this page.
During my time at Exeter, Keith Humphrey had as great or more of an influence on me than any teacher, coach, or administrator that I dealth with in high school. From bon fire construction and board breaking demos getting us pumped up to play - and beat - Andover to support in the crowd during games and matches or our regular Las Olas dinners, Keith did a lot to help me out during my high school years. I know this is true for many other people both in my year who had the chance to get to know Keith as well as the many people who have gotten close to him over his many years at the Academy.
I spoke with Keith this morning and he told me about some difficulties he has been going through recently. In particular, he has been out of work for most of the month due to a condition in his eye that has effectively taken his vision away. Keith has been making regular visits to the doctor to get treatments which have unfortunately not solved the problem as of yet. In search of another answer, Keith saw a renowned specialist in the Boston area who uses traditionl methods to achieve great results in improving the vision of people with similar conditions to Keith. We are hoping that these therapies will be the answer needed to help Keith get back to 100%!
Unfortunately, the treatments are quite expensive, and being out of work Keith is in a tight position and needs the help of all of us who he gave so much to during our teenage years at PEA. If you played JV baseball and were inspired by his messages in the dirt before games, held a board during one of his martial arts demos, or even just attended one of the bon fire rallies he helped construct please consider donating something to help defray the costs of treatment that Keith is facing - any amount helps. Also, please get in touch with Keith to let him know you are thinking about him and rooting for a speedy recovery as that would also mean a lot.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and to do whatever you can to help out Keith in this difficult time. With everyone's help we can get Keith back in action for 2016!!
