Help Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Keith Thomson
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Keith Thomson, who left us peacefully in Edmonton at the age of 93. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Keith’s life was a reflection of unwavering faith, generosity, and love for community.
Keith’s legacy is defined by his servant heart. A passionate and tireless volunteer, he devoted much of his life to causes close to his heart — including Scouts Canada, Gideons International, and International Students Ministries. Alongside Maxine, he helped establish the Vietnamese Alliance Church in Edmonton, opening doors and hearts to newcomers in Canada.
Keith began attending Beulah Alliance Church when he was one, making him the longest living member at the time of his passing.
His passion for travel and cultural connection led him to organize student trips across Canada for more than 25 years. He shared his love of hospitality generously — inviting guests for dinner parties, picking them up, feeding them, playing a game of crokinole, and then ensuring they got home safely. Keith lived with a quiet peace, always saying, “I’m not going to worry about it,” trusting everything to God’s hands.
