A little over two weeks ago, Keith was involved in a domestic dispute between two other individuals as a disinterested third party. He made himself involved in the situation with a successful attempt to protect the person in danger. He was attacked by the assailant and received many abrasions. He was left with a hematoma on his head, a large gash across his knee, knuckles and potentially a concussion. He does not currently have insurance, and he chose to heal himself of his own accord. He was making significant progress until this past weekend he developed cellulitis. The cellulitis infection has spread to a large area on the left side of his face, and the antibiotics are not working as fast as we had hoped. The concern right now is what the infection has become. It could be staph or another similar infection.

We expect him to make a swift full recovery, but due to his current situation, anything would help. His close family has the means to help with his recent hospital stay, but with not having insurance, head scans, blood work, medication, and maintenance after he leaves, those costs can add up.

If you know Keith, you know he's a hard-headed (literally and metaphorically) individual, but he cares a lot about people and considers himself a protector. He saw a person in danger and did everything in his power to protect this person, with no expectations and primarily out of selflessness.
