Keith ‘KIPPER’ Nelson

Hello everyone, my name is Stuart, a friend of our much loved Westbank Park community volunteer Keith ‘KIP’ Nelson.

Keith sadly passed away on Tuesday the 20th May at the age of 72. As a permanent reminder of Keith’s commitment and dedication to the many park goers, young and old, who regularly witnessed his generosity and kindness I would like to propose (as agreed with a large number of frequent users of the park and its facilities) that we honour his years of compassion and devotion to the park with the purchase of a garden bench.

My understanding is the cost would be approximately £1000, with the councils blessing hopefully this will be situated overlooking the bowling greens.

I have set the fundraiser target at this amount, if any additional funds are raised then I leave the floor open to suggestions, please feel free to visit the park and express any additional or alternative tributes.

I strongly believe Keith’s passing will have a profound impact on many individuals lives, for me personally I will miss him greatly he was a selfless human being with a big heart.
