Keith “Cubby” Kotal Celebration of Life

From Linda:
Words cannot begin to describe how much we have appreciated the sheer amount of love and support you all have given us. As you can imagine, Keith's passing has been incredibly trying. Even though life was not most kind to Keith, we can at least say he would have been blown away by the swift and absolute support you all have provided in his memory just as we are. He loved and missed you all more than you know.
From Keith's family: Thank you all so very much. Your words and generosity pierced through the darkness and moved our focus to the wonderful memories of Keith and better parts of life we all were able to share with him. Thank you for helping is heal. We look forward to seeing you all later this year.

As many of you know Keith “Cubby” Kotal unexpectedly passed away on December 27, 2024 leaving behind his wife Linda and two sons Christopher and Ryan. This has been a significantly challenging time for the entire Kotal family, especially for Linda since she has been battling with throat cancer, and now dealing with the loss of her beloved “Cubby.” Linda is in good spirits despite the loss and has expressed an interest in having a celebration of life for Kieth in the Dundee/ Carpentersville area later this year, once she is healthy enough to make the journey. She also mentioned that her boys have not been to the Chicago area and have never been to a Cubs game or eaten an original “Chicago Dog” or drank an Old Style beer…..three of Cubby’s favorite indulgences. She said she definitely wants an Old Style Kegger at the celebration of life along with some catered “original” Chicago dogs. We are raising funds to help Linda deal with some immediate medical bills and cover all travel expenses and totally cover a celebration for Cubby in the Chicago area. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
To my brothers and sisters of DCHS class of 81, Cubby was a legendary figure and I think we all attended at least one of his parties…..some of us more than one. Please help me bring Cubby, Linda, Christopher and Ryan home. Let’s welcome the family back and celebrate Keith’s amazing life. Regards, Sully
