Keith Bitting's Cancer Fund
Hello everyone! Please watch the video for all the details, but in brief... I was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in April of 2017, my form is called IVC which is short for my inferior vena cava. It is the largest vein in the body and responsible for the blood flow to the entire lower body. I have had two major surgeries now, the first removed one kidney and the tumor itself, but all the cancer could not be removed. The second was very recent and was an emergency surgery after a new tumor grew rapidly into my spine and compressed the nerves. The compression was so serious it nearly paralyzed me. This has left me unable to walk , though I retained feeling and very limited movement from my mid chest down.
This fund has been established to cover costs related to the cancer and its aftermath on my body. Especially the new paradigm of being unable to walk and needing specialized changes in our home. While I am stage 4, I am not yet certain to be terminal. There are some positive signs after my second emergency surgery to my back and radiation was started. I have great expectations and hope in the Lord and his sovereignty in all circumstances. God is and always will be worthy of my life. Should the worst happen, whatever is leftover will be left to my incredibly amazing wife Heewon.
Thank you so much for partnering with us on this journey. We love you and are so thankful for your help.
P.S. Thank you to my beautiful sister, Casey Bitting-Greene for setting up this page!
