In memory of Keith Baldwin

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our Founder and Chairman, Keith Baldwin.

Highway Traffic Management are setting up a Go Fund Me for any donations wishing to be made towards flowers for Keith from existing and previous members of the HTM workforce, and any remaining funds to be donated to charity (charity currently TBC and we will update this page as soon as this has been confirmed). Other ideas are to potentially have something such as a bench outside HTM HQ with a plaque in Keith's memory.

Dear HTM and Industry Colleagues,

It’s with the deepest sadness that I inform you of the passing of our Founder and my Dad, Keith Baldwin.

Dad passed away peacefully in the early hours of the 12th of March, with our family all around him. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in January, which left him and the family with limited options of treatment. The speed and intensity of the illness was cruel however Dad’s unwavering positivity never left him.

When Dad founded HTM in ‘95, nobody truly knew what he had started except him. It appeared that he’d set out to start a traffic management business in an emerging and exciting market, but what he really did was create a business environment for the people of HTM to thrive through their work and create opportunities for many people to achieve more than what they ever thought they could. So many people in our business and industry can directly attribute their success and accomplishments to the impact that Dad had on them. His innovative nature and deepest principles and morals are what we believe set him and the business apart. It’s our belief that businesses emulate their top people, and that couldn’t be any truer here, he is and always will be HTM.

I was privileged to call Keith Baldwin my Dad, Friend and Business Partner. We managed to achieve so much together in the last 9 years and we thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs of running a growing business together. What he started has become his legacy and the team and I at HTM have now become the custodians of his legacy, which has now given us even more drive, ambition and motivation to continue to grow and develop HTM and forge new opportunities for our people. We can never finish what Dad started as there was never an ‘end goal’ - it was always about doing a top quality job, having a positive impact and making sure we have some fun along the way - which is exactly what we will keep doing whilst we all gather our thoughts and take time to reflect.

I know this isn’t a conventional communication about the passing of our founder, however I am writing this as his son, and I know that many reading this will find themselves resonating with this narrative - such was the impact he had on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Please appreciate that this is a difficult time for the whole of the HTM family at the moment, so please ensure we are all patient and kind to one another.
