Keith (Bomani) LaMar's 52nd Birthday Surprise

About the fundraiser:

Keith LaMar (Bomani Shakur) is turning 52 years old on May 31st, and we want to show him that even while he is fighting for his life from Ohio's death row (the last 28 years from solitary confinement!), so many of us are standing with him in love and solidarity. We his supporters have been working hard to help him elevate his profile so he can afford to hire the legal support he so desperately needs to get back into court. Support has been trickling in, but now we really need to kick this effort up a notch; with just two short years left until his execution date (Nov. 16, 2023), Keith is in critical condition!  The withheld evidence in his case proves his innocence—it includes a confessional statement from a man who admitted killing someone for whom Keith is on death row, for example. There's so much more! His public defenders have not made his case a priority, and we refuse to sit around watching the clock tick down. Instead, we intend to help him "buy his freedom" through private counsel, which is very expensive. We need everyone's help!
