Keisha's Recovery
Donation protected
Our good friend Keisha Zollar just went through an extremely harrowing health scare. At one point, I was truly afraid she might not make it. In addition, the circumstances around her illness were exacerbated by misguided conduct and negligence by her caretakers. I'm not sure what type of legal action she may want to move forward with- if any, at all- but what I do know is that her recovery is most likely going to be longer and more of an uphill climb than if she had been treated properly.
That's where you come in. It's hard for Keisha to move around, to travel even short distances and to stay active for long amounts of time. This is a woman who was the definition of what it means to be an artist in New York- always on the go, with multiple jobs and touching multiple lives on a daily basis. I doubt she will be able to work at full capacity for awhile yet, and after such an experience, as someone who loves her dearly, I really don't want her to have to.
If Keisha is your friend or teammate, or you've had her as a teacher, or consider her a mentor, or just walk by her sometimes, I would love if you could join me in offering up a few dollars to help fund her recovery. So she can just chill for a minute- you know? It's been a tough month for the Zollar - Kimlers. Let's help these babes out!
**this is a personal campaign started by me, Monique Moses, and was NOT requested for by Keisha or Andy (though I did ask their permission, and in a painful haze, Keisha said yes)
***for more details on Keisha's situation (from her very own words), please take a look at this Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/kzollar/posts/10154576583392634
****UPDATE: The response on this has been so unbelievably amazing! I've decided to up our goal another $5000 to help with as much loss of income and medical bills as we can. This is all so wonderful, thank you guys
