Please help my sister, Keisha Good.
What started as a routine knee surgery has turned into a heartbreaking, life-altering nightmare for her. After the surgery, Keisha began feeling worse instead of better. She sought medical help and was immediately rushed to the hospital—her doctors discovered that she had developed blood clots in her lungs. The diagnosis was devastating: she is a blood clot carrier, meaning her body is prone to developing dangerous clots throughout.
This condition caused her heart to swell and led to a terrifying heart attack. In an unimaginable turn of events, Keisha's condition worsened, and she flatlined. The doctors managed to resuscitate her, but her battle was far from over. She was transferred to the University of Kentucky Hospital, where she was placed on life support and hooked up to an ECMO machine—a machine that keeps blood circulating outside her body to give her heart and lungs a fighting chance.
If that wasn’t enough, her kidneys have also begun to fail, and the doctors are still doing everything they can to get them working again; to top it off, circulation to one of her legs was blocked for an extended period of time and the doctors are optimistic that she will not lose her leg.
Keisha and her husband, Alex, are a young couple who have always tried to make ends meet and stay positive through tough times. But right now, they’re facing an unimaginable crisis, and both have jobs but are currently not working because of Keisha’s illness, making it even harder to afford the mounting medical bills.
We need your help.
I want to raise $10,000 to help cover Keisha's immediate medical expenses and ensure she has the best chance of recovering. Every dollar raised will go directly toward her treatment, care, and ongoing recovery. Please, if you can, consider donating or sharing her story. Keisha is a fighter, and with your help, we can give her the chance to heal and come home.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
