Keira Rose Road To Recovery
Donation protected
Akeira Rose is a bright ten year old with boundless energy. She is always up dancing, doing cartwheels, playing games, and just a happy kid. On Sunday 6/4 she was biking to the pool with some friends when she was hit by a car. Unfortunately being kids, her friends left scared, and it took almost 7 hours to find Keira's family and update them on her condition. Keira is not in good shape after this incident. She was taken to HCMC where she is still in critical condition. The ICU Drs monitor her continuously. She sustained 2 broken legs, broken femur, a broken pelvis that is shifted, brain damage/injury, and is currently on a ventilator. This ever active little girl has months of hard work ahead of her, but Drs are hopeful she will be able to walk again. Keira has a younger sister who is struggling without her best bud. Keira's mom is beside herself with worry, panic, and stress. Keira's brother is supposed to be excited about graduating HS and getting ready for college, but instead he is concerned with his sister's prognosis. Her oldest big sister and mother have been by her side most of the time, sleeping at the hospital and just being at Keira's bedside, hoping she knows someone is there. While we don't quite know what will be needed in the long road to recovery, we're asking for any possible support to help Keira and her family.
