On Friday, December 7th, Keigan became very ill. He was rushed to the Emergency Room in Grayling by ambulance. From there he was transported to DeVos Childrens Hospital in Grand Rapids by helicopter. He remains in critical care. He is currently in a coma and his vital signs are for the most part stable. The current diagnosis is mycoplasma (walking pnuemonia) and encephalitis (swelling of the brain). He is dealing with a reaction that only about 10 in 100,000 have to this illness. His brain and brain stem are swollen and as we wait for the swelling to go down we will remain by his side. We are very early on in the process and are asking that if you are able to help us with the mounting costs of being away from home it would be appreciated. Keigan's mother is Sandra Garnett, father SFC Mario Garnett, little brother Kyler Garnett, and two younger sisters Addalyn Garnett and Aubree Garnett.
