Great news! Our show was selected for the 2025 edition of Voila! - a multi-venue, panlingual theatre festival celebrating international artists! We are so honoured to be a part of it, and we need a little help from our friends to get us there!
About the show
Written by Brazilian playwright Kika Hamaoui, directed and translated by Rute Costa, and starring Fernanda Peviani, I have a flight to Frankfurt at half past ten is a risk-taking new monologue about love and migration. It follows a woman’s journey from tragedy to freedom, as she dissects the relationships that have shaped her, and makes the decision to pack up her life and leave her home. The play invites the audience into the intimate space of the protagonist’s imagination, and lifts up a mirror to our own lives. It will be performed at London’s Etcetera Theatre, from the 21st to the 23rd of November.
Why we need your help
For short runs of independent fringe theatre, funding is unfortunately hard to come by. This means that small inevitable show expenses very quickly add up, becoming a heavy burden on the artists making the show. Nevertheless, we persist by juggling multiple jobs and becoming extra resourceful! We also understand that we can't do it alone. This is why your support, however small, can make a huge difference. Think of it as buying us a metaphorical coffee (a London coffee!). Your donations will go towards offsetting our venue hire and festival fees, marketing costs, set expenses, and travel, helping us share a Brazilian story that speaks to audiences everywhere about courage, loss, and freedom.
If you believe in supporting independent artists, and in the power of theatre to foster empathy and connect people across cultures, please help this flight take off! And if you’re in London, we’d love to see you in the audience.
Donate. Share. Be part of the journey.
