Recently, our family received the devastating yet transformative news that confirmed cancer has metastasis and we are rising to meet this challenge with unwavering hope and resilience. As of now, her surgeon, and oncologist have confirmed that she has malignant growths that will require an intensive treatment plan, and we are determined to tackle it with courage, faith, and determination. While we are not sure what the entire treatment plan is at this time, there will be multiple surgeries involved, and we will face each one with strength, hope, and perseverance. To have to face a life-changing diagnosis twice under the age of 55 is a reality Keesh and our family are learning to accept with faith, hope, and resilience. The burden of cancer is not only a physical and emotional one but a financial one as well, yet we are choosing to focus on the abundance of love, support, and resources available to us. Aside from the costs of treatments, there are many costs associated with ensuring a family can focus their undivided attention on providing Keesh with comfort and care, and we are trusting that we will find a way to navigate these challenges with courage and hope. On top of the responsibility of another round of treatment, our family is still recovering from the costly and aggressive treatment Keesh received during her initial diagnosis, yet we are standing together, stronger and more united than ever, filled with hope and determination.
