Keep Raising the Barb on Hope

My aunt, Barbara Flick is many things to many people. She’s a fun-loving, compassionate friend, a second-mother, a loving aunt, sister, daughter and cousin. She was a loyal employee of ADP. But above all, Aunt Barb is a devoted, proud Mother of her son, Travis. He is her heart and her light.
A conversation with Aunt Barb is never short on sarcasm. She is an advice-giving guru, and after spending time with her you know how much you are loved. Barbara has an immense amount of strength and positivity. Qualities she certainly has passed on to Travis.
Aunt Barb is a breast cancer survivor of 14 years. About a year ago, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The fighter that she is, Barb powered through multiple treatments of various types. There would be moments of triumph, followed by major setbacks. Barb’s cancer is now in her lung, brain, spine, and bone marrow. And yet, she is fighting. She is currently in a Hospice facility where she is being kept comfortable.
I am writing to you to ask for assistance. My cousin, Travis, is single handily upholding his family home, while spending every moment possible caring for his mother in Hospice. He is also maintaining his full time job. His colleagues at Tricarico have privately created an account on Travis and Barbara’s behalf: Raising the Barb on Hope, which has ended. Humbled by their generosity, I am continuing their original campaign: Keep Raising the Barb on Hope. Contributions raised will further assist in easing financial burdens of medical and household bills, as well as making the remainder of Aunt Barb’s life as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Any contributions are sincerely appreciated during this difficult time.
