Keeping The Music Alive at Keystone Korner

“Hello Everyone! Please give your love and support to the Keystone Korner Baltimore.  This club is more than a club, it’s a creation portal giving rise and a platform for musicians to express, create and share the divine energy of music!  Let’s help keep this musical treasure alive! Thank you!”

"Keystone Korner Baltimore is one of the most important and vital jazz venues in the world -- absolutely essential for the present and future of our music, and our culture itself."  -- Benny Golson

Dear Keystone Family,

In times of crisis, we turn to music. Music lifts the spirit and heals the soul. That is exactly why Keystone Korner is fighting to keep the music alive. Jazz is an even more vital and healing force in today’s world than ever before. We need your help to preserve the living legacy of Jazz at Keystone Korner Baltimore.

"The Keystone Korner Baltimore is a beacon of great cultural significance. A jewel of the east coast music scene and an important presence among world class arts organizations. NEA Jazz Master Todd Barkan has devoted his whole life to honor and embolden the music he loves and the value of what he has created at Keystone Korner is beyond measure." -- Bill Charlap

Without hesitation, we have implemented important safety measures  to protect the health of our community, but each day our fight grows more challenging to pay our performing artists, loyal staff, talented tech crew, and our exemplary chefs what they're worth, and to us they're worth everything. We need your help to maintain and advance the tradition of artistic excellence, love, and inspiration that is Keystone Korner.

"Keystone Korner Baltimore and its creators Todd Barkan and Robert Wiedmaier are divine blessings to our needy city.  Not since the demise of the renowned Left Bank Jazz Society have Baltimoreans had world-class genius jazz musicians play here every week!  Spread the word!"
--Billy Murphy

Ticket sales cover just one-third of the costs of presenting the world-famous performers who inspire our community. We are creating this campaign in an effort to raise funds and relieve the pressures of talent and labor costs, rent and other expenses that have accrued since the COVID-19 pandemic began. We humbly ask that you share our story and contribute whatever you can to help cover these costs and help us to continue this vital mission.

"I've played in major venues all over the world, but I've never experienced anything else quite like the combination of Baltimore charm and world class jazz like what is featured nightly at Keystone Korner Baltimore. Todd Barkan is an NEA Jazz Master because he has been presenting and supporting this music all his life. Because of his expertise and unique partnership with Master Chef Robert Wiedmaier, Baltimore now has great artists playing regularly in a first-class venue with wonderful food, which is something every major city needs to have."  --Mike LeDonne

Thanks for the gift that got us here and the grace that lets us stay. We thank you for your support and look forward to connecting with you through the healing power and joy of music. Take care of the music and the music will take care of you.

With love,
Todd Barkan
