Keeping the life of coral and turtles thriving world-wide
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tiana and I am 15 years old. I enjoy biology and ecology and have always been interested in conservation. I currently volunteer for a local environmental charity called Freely Fruity. We are helping to improve biodiversity in urban areas and providing free food for local residents. Once I have completed my studies, I would like to train as a marine biologist. I have always been fascinated by marine life and intrigued by all the different species in the oceans.
There is currently a program in Greece that takes in volunteers to help maintain the lifecycles of endangered coral and turtles world-wide. They protect turtles from the moment the eggs are laid. They also perform constant checks and tests on coral life to ensure that it is healthy and thriving. This is so important due to climate change, more species are becoming rapidly endangered. If we don't take steps towards protecting these species now; they will soon become extinct.
It has always been my dream to work in marine conservation and this program goes some way to help me on that career path. Volunteering on this program requires me to raise money for my own transportation and accommodation. As I am a student and currently unable to raise the funds myself - I am hoping there are enough like minded, kind individuals that will consider sponsoring me.
I plan to setup a blog where I will upload pictures and reports of the work I undertake. This will enable you to see where your donation has gone and how it is having a direct impact on marine conservation.
Thanking you in advance for your kind support of both me and the environment.
