My dad has always been the person who made everyone feel welcome. He was the one who made sure there was an extra chair pulled up at the table, the one who cracked jokes that made the whole room laugh, and the one who never forgot to check in on a friend.

A few years ago, everything began to change. My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and little by little, the things that came so easily to him—remembering names, following a conversation, managing daily routines—started slipping away.

Today, my dad lives in a memory care community. He still loves being around people, cracking jokes, and joining in on activities, but Alzheimer’s makes even simple things confusing or frustrating. Yet, with the right support, he can still participate, laugh, and enjoy moments of connection.

Our family is doing everything we can to make sure he’s safe and cared for, but the truth is, memory care is incredibly expensive. We’re navigating tough financial choices to make sure he has what he needs while preserving the dignity and joy he deserves.

That’s why I’m reaching out. With your help, we can provide resources that support his quality of life—whether that’s activities designed for memory care, comfort items that make daily life easier, or tools that help him stay engaged and connected.

Alzheimer’s has taken so much from my dad, but it hasn’t taken away his kindness, his spark, or his sense of humor. Every donation you give helps him hold on to the parts of life that still bring him joy, and it means the world to our family.

Thank you for seeing him, for caring, and for helping us walk this road with love.
