Back in 2020, we lost the home we had lived in for 35 years because of a bridging loan that we couldn't repay with the remaining proceeds of the sale; we managed to gather enough to rent a flat for a year, we had to pay a year upfront because we had no income to speak of, as john was working as a photographer but due to the stress of all this had some mental health issues so could not earn enough money but was Hopeful things would improve Covid had Ended. John was hoping to get some more work, and the Briding Loan Nightmare Was over still, but things did not work out for us.

When our tenancy Ended, we could not afford to rent again As we did not have a year's rent to pay upfront, this is needed if you cannot prove an income.

We have been staying in hotels, this is now unsustainable, so we contacted Camden Council asking for help with Housing; they said we do not qualify for this and advised us to re-home our dog and go into a Hostel, which we don't want to do, as it would devastate us.

We urgently need funds to put a deposit down on a flat and to pay a year or six months' rent upfront.

If we can achieve this, we can keep our dog, who is our baby.

We are beside ourselves with worry now, and it's ruining our lives; our dog means everything to us, and we don't want to live without her. She's family.
