Keeping My Family Housed During Stage 4 CLL
I’m starting this fundraiser because I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 4 CLL (chronic lymphocytes leukemia) and have already been on medical leave since June, which means I’m facing a loss of income at the same time I’m trying to focus on my health.
This has added real stress and worry to my day-to-day life, especially when it comes to making rent and bills on time. We have already gone through our savings, and I have applied for Social Security, but there is a 6-8 month wait before that support kicks in. Right now, the most urgent need is my rent. I’m asking for help because I’m trying to avoid falling behind and becoming homeless while I’m out on medical leave, and to keep my wife and daughter from becoming homeless too.
Support from this fundraiser will go toward covering my rent first so I can keep a roof over our heads during this time. Because this financial strain continues while I’m unable to work, recurring donations would give me steadier help with rent and basic bills as I manage treatment and medical leave. One-time donations would also make a meaningful difference and help relieve some of the immediate pressure.
If you’re able to give or share this fundraiser, I would be deeply grateful. Your support would help me stay housed with my wife and daughter and give me one less thing to worry about while I’m dealing with cancer.
