This fundraiser helps keep Mbabazi open through June and supports rebuilding the Mbabazi Foundation.
We are the local Memphis staff and the Ugandan artisans who have the privilege of working within Mbabazi House of Style; a space Grace created and continues to steward with vision, care, and integrity.
Over the past year, Grace has been navigating the illness and recent passing of her husband, John; while continuing to show up for this store and the people connected to it.
At the same time, Mbabazi; like many small businesses; has been impacted by a tightening economy, with slower sales and rising costs.
Mbabazi is more than a store; it is a cultural home rooted in Ugandan heritage, ethical fashion, and dignity-centered work; supporting artisans in Uganda, living-wage craftsmanship, and creative community in Memphis.
This fundraiser helps keep Mbabazi open through June and supports rebuilding the Mbabazi Foundation, ensuring what Grace has built can continue to serve artisans, makers, and community members locally and internationally.
Thank you for standing with Grace and with Mbabazi.
