On February 10th the normally unstoppable Kenny Carter was stopped dead in his tracks when he suffered a massive stroke due to a blood clot in the brain stem. This type of stroke known as a Pons stroke can be deadly and usually leads to paralysis of the left side as well as many other debilitating side affects. As one would expect, Kenny wasn't going to be your average case. Despite being told numerous times he was lucky to be alive, Kenny started his road to recovery immediately. After spending one day in the ICU he put his positive attitude to work and got the hell out of there. After two days at the Timpanogos Hospital he had shown enough signs of motivation and promise to be moved to the renowned neuro-rehab facility at Utah Valley Hospital. 

Now this is where the work begins. During his time in rehabilitation Kenny will learn to walk, talk and regain use of his left side once again. Setting his goal of a full recovery is a lot to bite off. The journey will be anything but easy but let's face it, if anyone can do it, it's this man. 

Many of you have already reached out asking how you can help, offering meals and help with things around his home. This generosity has moved him to tears on more than one occasion. (We all know he is a softie but being extra emotional is another side affect of a stroke) Now we look to the future and the financial repercussions of what this means for Kenny and his wife Lesli. Any help that you may contribute is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
