Kacyns service dog Ashley passed away this evening after a tragic accident. Kacyn is my 9year old son with ADHD and Depression. He is having a very hard time. He has leaned on her more since his papas passing then ever before. (Papa passed away just a month ago) He feels like everything and everyone he loves leaves him, this is a depression we have battled for many years. He is heartbroken and his only love has been taken to heaven. Kacyn has ADHD and depression. This is extremely hard on him and we have a lot of fears from the repercussions that will come from this. Please pray for kacyn at this time.
Ashley helped Kacyn get off of his ADHD meds, kept him from blacking out, alerted us when he was going down a path that needed attention, and alerted us when he needed us. She was half of him as he was has of her, they showed true love, true loyalty, and true family.
I don’t know how Kacyns days will be now because we have relied on Ashley as his service dog for over 2 years. I am so worried about him not having a partner. This all makes me so sad and so worried.
We are trying to fund raise as fast as we can. We have reached out to so many service trainers and we are looking at a cost of $15,000 to $20,000 to have another service dog trained. Ashley is not replaceable in our hearts. The needs of a service dog in our home for Kacyn are very real tho.
I appreciate all the help we can get. And if you can please share our story and say a little prayer. The more people we can reach the more possibility we will have at getting him help with another service dog sooner! Keeping Kacyn Strong in our goal!
