Getting the club up and running again has been a difficult and expensive endeavor. As the leader of the club I have had to make some significant sacrifices to bring the club back and keep it moving forward. As I made the decision to reopen the club, it became clear that money was a huge factor, or lack thereof. The tough decision I faced was to use the money I had been slowly tucking away for a down payment on a home and a small withdrawal form my retirement fund was going to be crucial to getting the club reopened on moving forward. Expense have peaked at almost $8K with a few thousand more to go get the clubhouse in shape, and keep the bills paid while it get done.
I was disheartened by my dream of moving into a new place fading away; but was reveling in the fact that the club would reemerge and would bring joy to those who attend; including myself; although running the club leave little time to enjoy the club and its members at our events..
