Keeping it up for Kodi

Please, Share, Donate, Pray and share again
for this sweet Girl Kodi Blu and her family too!

I know this battle has taken its toll
emotionally, mentally, and  financially on Kodi’s mother Cheyenne, whom is a person that I hold very close to my heart.

Everyone needs a little help and I know this family really could use it right now. Hotel rooms, countless trips to Cincinnati children’s ,taking time off work to be there for appointments countless procedures and surgeries
yes there are resources out there to help,
with the pandemic it makes it hard with certain restrictions for staying at places like the Ronald McDonald house.
I will attach different posts from Cheyenne giving updates on Kodi, her complete diagnosis is very complicated to explain, feel free to reach out for more explanation.

UPDATE ON KODI FROM CHEYENNES POST

We finally had another care conference for Kodi this week. The surgeons and doctors all agree that Kodi needs to proceed with the TPIAT surgery. This news is bitter sweet, I know deep down it is her best chance at getting back to a healthy, happy life, but it is terrifying. The surgery itself is MAJOR, they will remove the entire pancreas, her spleen, and the duodenum,  she will basically have no other organs in her GI tract that could be removed since she no longer has her colon or appendix either. She will spend at least 1 weekn in the ICU, several weeks inpatient at Cincy and we will have to stay close to the hospital after she is released for several more weeks. She will automatically have diabetes, but they will transplant eyelets to her liver in hopes it will eventually begin to produce insulin. We still don't know if this surgery will fix every issue she is having, but we are going to pray with everything we have that it will. She won't be able to have her re-connection surgery until a minimum of 6 months after this surgery, which was also hard to hear. We are far from out of the woods. They are sending her home from Kosair today even though she is still in quite a bit of pain, but the hope is we can go without as much pain medicine as possible so that it has a greater effect after the surgery. Cincinatti is reviewing some imaging today and will get back with me soon about when the surgery will be scheduled for. Aside from devine intervention, we have a very rough road ahead of us, even more rough then the road behind us I am afraid. Please keep us in your prayers. ❤
