Hey, my name is Tamanda Msosa, better known as GHOST, a Malawian-born videographer, skater and creative technologist. I have been out of work for over a year now, battling to get my work authorization back after Cartier's Retail Innovation Lab sidelined me based solely on my place of origin even though I was qualified and freelancing for them. It's been a long battle and I have exhausted my savings from the legal fees and overall trying to survive in NYC. Unfortunately, it has not been an easy journey; My father passed away during the ordeal. I could not lay him to rest since I am still trying to make sure I have resources to take back to my community in Malawi and his sacrifice was not in vain. I appreciate any help that keeps me in the fight till I get a job offer that can sponsor me. I have some hopeful prospects in the horizon. I have to stay positive and I believe I can with the people. Every little bit helps and the emotional support does not fall on deaf ears; thank you for the space and courage to share my story.
