Keeping Faith for Destiney Faith

Donation protected
On June 20th 2018 my husband and I were sent to Shands Hospital for a emergency stitch for my cervix because I was one centimeter dilated at only 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant. By the time that we arrived to Shands I was already 4-5 centimeters dilated with a bulging water bag. The high risk doctor came to our room and told us that our baby girl would be born that night and had no chance at surviving. Our hearts were immediately broken. To know that we would soon have to deliver our precious baby girl and she had no fighting chance. My husband and I refused to believe it, we refused to accept the fact that our baby girl would soon be taken away from us. Even though the doctors truly believed that she would be delivered that night and would likely be born dead, we refused to give up our faith. As the days passed, i remained in labor. Every single day the doctors and NICU team would come into our room to tell us that when our baby is born she will likely not be alive, and if she was she would not survive more than a few minutes and IF given the chance to survive she would likely never walk, talk, or even see.  8 days later i was taken in for a emergency C-Section due to her being breech and her feet coming through my uterus into the top of my vagina.

On June 28th at 4:43 pm our precious baby girl began the fight of her life. Born at only 1 pound 3 ounces, with no chance of survival. From that moment on, we believed the power of prayer and faith could make miracles happen. She is now 9 weeks old and 3 pounds 1 ounce. As you can imagine it has been a long road up to this point. We continue to have faith and believe that our lord will move mountains for our baby girl. We still have a long battle ahead of us as she continues to go through her daily challenges as a micro-premature baby, but with all of our continuous prayers, she will get stronger and soon be able to come home to us. We have three daughters who are overwhelmed about all that has happened and ready to meet their little sister.

With everything happening so unexpectedly we have missed a few months at work which has taken a huge toll on us. From baby items, gas traveling to Shands and medical expenses. We are asking for donations to help bring our baby girl home! Anything you can donate will help including a prayer for Destiney Faith. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you in advance and cant wait to share her  story and updates with you.
