GoFundMe Donation Information

Very sadly I lost my beautiful wife Carol Bischoff Dugan, Sunday 1/4/26. She suffered a very unexpected heart attack. I would never have expected this since she was so active every day. It seemed like the last thing that could happen. I still can’t believe it. Everyone thought Carol would be singing & teaching dance classes into her 90s.
I desperately need donations for funeral expenses & a nice urn for her. Since we were intertwined in love & business for the last 30 years I am now almost unemployed. Carol & I were performing 10-20 shows per month. We have a mortgage, car payments & other living expenses. I need to be able to stay financially solvent for a few months until I can re-establish myself in some new musical ventures. I’m already working on some projects both with what I did with Carol & our Boardwalk Baby Band and some new ventures that musicians are reaching out to me about.
Carol & I performed over 1500 shows together. I have almost 300 studio produced songs (about 20-30 hours of work with each song) that we used with Boardwalk Baby. About 80% of those songs have lead vocals that were muted for our “live” performances. I’m in the process of going back to our most popular songs & remixing them with her lead vocals for all to hear. Eventually I would love to do them all. This is a a very long intense remix of studio material. Her voice lives in these tracks and I couldn’t think of any greater tribute to Carol’s life. Songs that we loved doing that don’t have her lead vocal on I will try to perform as an instrumental or will get her son Ian (or other friends) to record vocals on. This will take a lot of time & I’m already working on it. Hopefully I can do Boardwalk Baby as a single performer and have Carol’s lovely voice with me as I do it. I had to cancel several shows after Carol’s passing but I hope to soon be able to cover some of them myself in this way.
In 2025 Carol & I performed 152 shows, include two week long Florida tours. That didn’t give me much time for other bands but I managed to squeeze in 23 gigs with other bands. We did 16 shows together for the Holiday season between Thanksgiving & New Year plus she taught 13 dance & fitness classes!!! We did our last show 12/30/25 and she sang like a goddess. They gave her a dozen red roses afterward which she loved so much. Carol was a total living ball of energy. She seemed to be fine and even though she got the flu just before Christmas she was totally positive she would be better in a few days.
The name Carol means “song” and she spent her whole life living that idea. Carol sang like an angel and lived life like a ray of sunshine for everybody she met. She was the most selfless person I ever met. Her entire life was to make others happy. Pure spirit sent from heaven.
Carol was my entire life for 30 years and she still is. I can see & feel her in everything I do every day. As Chuck Berry said; “Don’t let her steal your heart away”. Well, she stole my heart away and I loved every second of it. You must always show love every minute because it might be the last time you can.

So if you can please contribute whatever you can to keep her memory & voice alive in these very trying times and to help me do it for her. It’s what Carol would of wanted.
