**Keeping a Rural Carrier on the Road**

To my family,

I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a financial crossroads that I simply can't navigate alone right now. For the last few years, I’ve been intensely focused on one thing: building a stable future. I didn't take the traditional college route, I don’t go out drinking or partying, and I’ve completely stepped away from social media. I've put all my energy into working hard and trying to save.

My job as a USPS Rural Mail Carrier is incredibly physical, keeping me out in the Texas elements every single day. My 1996 Toyota TownAce Noah van isn't just a vehicle; it’s my direct lifeline to earning a living on my route. Recently, the front suspension suffered a catastrophic collapse.

This failure hit at the absolute worst possible time. The last few months have tested me in every way. Between navigating a painful breakup, making the tough choice to sell my truck just to keep things moving, and fighting to catch up on back rent to keep a roof over my head, I’ve been stretched to my absolute limit. I also desperately need new tires just to do my job safely.

I’ve done everything I can to manage the van situation on my own. I spent weeks tracking down the necessary heavy-duty parts from overseas to avoid massive shop markups, but the specialized labor required for a right-hand drive import is still overwhelming.

To be completely transparent about what it takes to get this vehicle back to work safely, here is the exact breakdown of the costs:

Sourced JDM Parts:

Front Left CV Axle: $273

Left & Right Upper Control Arms: $348

Lower Ball Joints (Both sides): $44

Inner/Outer Tie Rods & Steering Boots: ~$115

Spindle Bearing Kit & Brass Bushing: $48

Local Shop Fluids & Buffer Parts: ~$150 - $300

Professional Labor:

Suspension Rebuild & Safety Alignment: $850 - $1,100

Total Out-of-Pocket Estimate: $1,750 - $2,150

My ultimate goal in life is to be the family member who can provide for all of you. I am breaking my body out there right now so that one day, I can set up a family trust and be the uncle who steps in when any of you face emergencies like this. But right now, to keep that dream alive and keep my job, I need a bridge to get this van back on the road.

Any help—no matter how small—gets me back to work so I can cover my rent and keep moving forward.

"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9 ✝️

Love,
Michael
