Keep Crystal Alive!

Hello everyone, my name is Crystal and I’m a 44 year old single mother of 4, requesting your support. I have always been a hard worker since the age of 15.  But at age 40, I had a stroke where I lost the use of the right side of my body. With the help of God, my family & friends, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, I was able to return work within 4 months. However, I never fully regained my fine motor skills. Unfortunately, since then, my health has taken a turn for the worse.  I suffer from several medical conditions including Neurosarcoidosis which is a rare form of Sarcoidosis. There is NO cure for this. This autoimmune disease has affected my vison and I can barely see out of my left eye.  I have swelling in my brain stem, pituitary gland, and left optical nerve.  I receive a very expensive, LIFE SAVING, infusion for this disease every 6 weeks. This treatment may prevent me from going blind, bring the swelling down in my brain, and slow the progression of the disease. In addition to that, I’m being treated for sciatica. I receive epidural shots in the lumbar region of my spine to ease the PAIN in my back and right leg.  Some days I can barely walk or get out of bed because of the intense lower back pain. Also, I have recently developed a severe pain in my shoulder that radiates down my arm to my fingers. I can barely move my left arm. I was diagnosed with tendinosis with calcium deposits on my muscle. After review of my MRI it was determined I have a pinched nerve that will require surgery and a degenerative disease called spondylosis.  I also have neuropathy, arthritis of multiple joints, diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, high cholesterol, asthma, sleep apnea, reflux, optic neuritis, and severe depression. I suffer from headaches and dizziness on a daily basis. For the most part, I am ALWAYS in PAIN. I take about 25 medications in the course of my day and 5 insulin shots. I was on medical leave from my position of 15 years receiving treatment for my conditions. Unfortunately, after a year, the company was no longer able to hold my position leaving me with no job, no income, and no medical insurance. The stress and uncertainty of my finances is very scary in addition to being sick. I did get Medicaid. Unfortunately, they DO NOT pay for everything and my infusions cost thousands of dollars. I see many diffferent doctors for  mutiple conditions and the bills are overwhelming. I try to keep a positive attitude and and stay prayerful.
