Hi, I’m Leah, co-host with Dan of the Zombie Book Club Podcast—the only book club where I lost my job because clean energy funding was slashed by the Trump admin and nonprofits like mine were targeted as "extremist" for standing up against pollution and the exploitation of already oppressed communities by monopoly utilities.

When I’m not crying on the floor wondering how I’m going to pay my bills until I find a new job, I’m making this GoFundMe as our six-month Survival Fund to keep the podcast alive while I get back on my feet.

Zombie Book Club is a niche indie show where we dive into zombie fiction to explore the human condition, critique real-world systems, and have a ton of fun with indie authors, fellow podcasters, and creatives. Without this podcast, we wouldn’t have met so many of you we now love, call friends, and root for.

We want to keep uplifting indie zombie authors, championing diverse media, and speaking truth to power, all while proving the apocalypse can look more like a thriving community than collapse.

Producing the show comes with real costs: hosting, editing and recording software, website and social media tools, and disability accommodation software. If we don’t reach our fundraiser amount, we’ll have to stop recording and sharing new episodes before the end of 2025. Every bit you contribute keeps ZBC alive longer.
