Help Zane Stay in Karate
My son Zane has been dedicated to karate for the past two years. He has grown so much in confidence, discipline, and skill, and he has an upcoming tournament this Saturday that he has been training for since March.
As you know, during a divorce, community expenses are generally shared equally between the parties, and in the absence of a court order stating otherwise, certain expenses are typically maintained in the same manner as before the separation to preserve the status quo. In the midst of my divorce, an expense that was previously covered in full has unexpectedly ceased without agreement or court direction. Meanwhile, I continue to bear the full cost of other significant expenses, including the mortgage, utilities, HOA dues, community expenses, and the care of community dogs that were abandoned. I also cover Zane’s golf and cell phone entirely on my own. This sudden change places Zane at risk of missing an important tournament and threatens his continued participation in a program that is critical to his growth and well-being. This shift in shared responsibility raises concerns about maintaining stability and fairness for the children during the divorce process.
I am raising $1,000 to cover Zane’s karate payments for the months of September, October, November, and December ($250 per month). This will ensure that he can continue training, stay with his dojo, and participate in the activities that mean so much to him.
This money will help us get through the end of the year until I can adjust things for January and beyond. I am working on increasing my hours at work so I can keep Zane in karate long-term.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for helping support Zane’s growth, his passion, and his opportunity to keep moving forward l.
