Keep Yuri and Dani Together in New Orleans

Hi, my name is Andrea, and I'm reaching out for your support in helping my dear friends and newlyweds, Yuritzhy and Daniangely, who need our help raising funds for vehicle repairs and legal fees.

On Thursday, 3/20, Yuri was in a car accident on her way home from work that totaled the truck and led to Immigration being called. After a traumatic, dehumanizing booking process, she is currently in I.C.E. custody awaiting her court date while Dani fights tirelessly to build a case with their lawyer, friends, and family to show the judge how much Yuri belongs here.

Yuri came to the United States from Mexico at the age of 13 and has been working to secure her American citizenship since marrying the love of her life, Dani. However, as some of you may know, the process is overwhelming, lengthy, and expensive.

If you're able, please donate any amount at all. It would give them a real shot at overcoming this terrifying chapter in their young lives and allow Yuri to remain the beloved member of our community that she is. Anybody who knows them will tell you Yuri and Dani are incredibly hard working, kind, and amazing people. Yuri deserves to stay in New Orleans with her wife, family, and adorable dogs, to continue building their beautiful life together. The United States is Yuri's home.

Dani and Yuri are a dual-income family, so they not only count on each other for love and support but, more urgently, they rely on each other financially. These funds will be used to cover the mounting legal fees, minor traffic citations, vehicle repairs and the compounding legal expenses without income while awaiting trial.
