Please help.

My 11-year relationship ended, and now I'm facing what I can only describe as my worst nightmare—my ex is looking to take sole custody of my little guy, my son, Yoda.

I purchased Yoda on November 27th, 2016.

He was so small! Yoda was 2 pounds and could fit in my hand... I fell in love.

I have all of Yoda's paperwork: his bill of sale, his microchip, vet bills, financial loans to cover his medical expenses, and more. My ex and I have loved Yoda for the last 9 years, and we have both considered ourselves his dad and mom.

I would never want to separate my Yoda from her, so I've always insisted that regardless of what happened with us, that we figure it out—that we do what we need to do as his pawrents to maintain a relationship with him. Unfortunately, my ex has changed her mind and decided to pursue sole custody and legal ownership over him.

I’m forced to fight against her financial power, and the financial power of her family, despite not being able to keep up with them. We've already been to court (on 11/5/25) where I had to represent myself against her and her attorney.

My legal battle to save Yoda threatens to drown me financially, but it's one I can't back down from.

This is about more than just a dog... I don't have children, but I've loved Yoda as my little boy from the first day that I picked him up.
