Help Wild Soul River Match a Grant
Donation protected
We have the opportunity for a state grant to regulate the temperature at Wild Soul River's 125 year old building. If you have been to any gathering in the Summer or Winter then you know that it is either too hot or too cold at Wild Soul River. And like Goldilocks, we want to address these issues. With modern technology of heat pumps, windows, insulation, and window shading we can address these issues.
Through the Massachusetts Biz-M-Power Matching Grant program we have the opportunity to address these issues.
Challenge:
We have till June 15th to raise $10,000. We know that this is ambitious but we believe in our community.
$10,000 will potentially unlock $50,000 in state grants.
Risks:
Well, there really aren't any.....If we raise less than $10,000, it just means that we will be able to apply for less in grant funding. If we don't get the grant, we will apply the money to these projects and apply for loans to cover the rest.
The Project Details:
The main project is to get heat pumps in the main shop and Rebecca's office. Heat pumps will help keep us cool in the summer and warm in the winter and make us more environmentally sustainable.
Other projects that are on our wish list:
New energy efficient windows for the front of the shop to replace our single pane glass
Awnings on the front of the building to shade the front during the summer
Insulating the basement
How can you help?
We have opened a separate bank account just to manage these funds and launched this gofundme.
