Keep Widge and Cain Safe on the Road

Hi folks!

If you're reading this, you probably know Cain and I (Widge) or got sent this by one of our friends. Thanks for checking it out, really. If you don't know us, allow me introduce ourselves. My name is Widge and my partner is Cain. We live in Seattle and are two broke trans twenty six year olds who have a scary car situation. Let me tell you a bit about what's going on.

Our car is dangerous and very illegal to drive. We desperately need the funds to make repairs and to pay for registration, insurance, and a few late tickets.

Currently, the issues are:

We should not be driving our car at all, but are required to for work. My job was close by and reachable by public transit until a sewage flood happened in the store I worked and my manager had me and my coworkers move around to the stores in Issaquah, Burien, and Bothell. All places I cannot reach reliably by bus. Cain works almost in Tacoma but they are applying to places in Seattle. I drive 40 miles round trip each day and Cain drives 80. I really love my job for the first time in years and I am trying to keep it. If our car breaks we are both unemployed.

More importantly, if our car breaks while we are unavoidably driving it, we could be seriously hurt or hurt others. Right now, our top priority is repairing or replacing the axle and getting it legal. Every day we drive we are extremely scared. Cain and I both have anxiety and OCD; driving it is an intrusive thoughts nightmare marathon. It jerks to the right, vibrates aggressively, and sounds like a helicopter. We have already been pulled over a couple of times and somehow only gotten warnings about our tabs but it is also only a matter of time until things start to really stack up and we get deeper into this pit.
