Keep Virginia's Grassroots Filmmaking Alive
Donation protected
We need your help to make local short films that are engaging, entertaining, and promote home-grown, grassroots filmmaking in our area!
The Northern Virginia Motion Picture Co-Op is a not-for-profit arts collective based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Our mission is to make narrative short films in our region, with contributions from artists in Fredericksburg, Richmond, D.C., Charlottesville, and everywhere in between. We've been active for 10 years and have produced numerous films that have been featured at local events and festivals.
Now we need your help. The Co-Op is looking to continue our mission through the end of 2025, and to do it we need money to finish our current productions and plan for the future. All of the money we use to produce films is privately raised as donations, and I personally have been providing the bulk of our production and promotional funds. However, due to the current trade war, I am currently laid off, so we are going to suffer a shortfall unless we can get help from our friends and supporters. We are asking for $6000 to cover our filmmaking through the end of 2025.
These funds are essential to completing our projects, including the upcoming WWII drama "Angel in Hell" as well as "Custody," our latest production for the Virginia Screenwriters' Forum. We hope to do even more as the summer progresses.
So please give to our cause, and help us keep the Co-Op creating films in Virginia. Thank you!
