The Village Singers located in Lake Zurich, IL is a non auditioned group of 25 to 30 talented men and women, of all ages, who love to sing in 4 part harmony. In existence for over 20 years, we truly give opportunities to all members of the community as there are no barriers to joining our group.
We are passionate about performing songs that touch the hearts and lives of our audiences. In addition to our twice yearly concerts, some members also perform free concerts in the community at senior living facilities, continued learning classes for seniors and nursing homes for those who might otherwise not hear us. The importance of preserving the beautiful art form of harmony, through live concerts, is an often overlooked need.
100% of all money raised through this site will be used to keep the group singing for the community.
Outlined below are some of the expenses necessary to keep our group thriving:
Modest stipend for Director and Pianist
Mandatory costs for purchasing sheet music
Rental of rehearsal and performance facility
Insurance
Publicity to inform the community of performances (posters, post cards,
brochures, programs)
In addition to our live community performances, the group was chosen, via music videos on its website, to join other choruses from across the country and perform a concert at Carnegie Hall. While this was a great honor, the cost to each individual member was prohibitive. Nonetheless, being recognized like this was not only a great honor, but additonal confirmation of the group's talent.
Your donations to our fund will enable us to keep the harmony alive and continue to delight our communities for many years to come.
