Keep Vicki and Michael from Homelessness

My name is Michael. I met the love of my life thirteen years ago. She is a kind woman named Vicki, who had a rough life growing up. She is dyslexic and had a hard time in school. Her father encouraged her to not give up and work on her reading. Every book she read was a personal triumph. Both of her parents unfortunately got very sick. She gave up going to college to take care of them.

She also is a kind soul who volunteered each year for AIDS Walk in the memory of a child who died from being born with the disease. Often at the cost of sitting in a diner all night, nursing a cup of coffee, to be there on time because she only had public transportation.

When I got to know her, one of the things I wanted to do was get my animation degree and get a job so she could finally go to college. Unfortunately, I got very sick. Once again, she sacrificed to take care of the ones she loved. This, over the years since her parents were alive, took a toll on her body and she is not capable of working like she used to.

Our rent has nearly doubled in the past few years, while our income has gotten less. It has come to the point where we are on the verge of being homeless. I failed in doing the thing I wanted to do most, give her an easier life. I know I won't survive being homeless and I feel she would be devastated when I go. So please give us a chance to stay together. Anything you could spare to help us keep going till her disability case goes through would be a help. Thank you for reading this far.
