My name is Vanessa and I have been battling Congestive Heart Failure due to a condition called chronic AFIB, which I developed during Covid.
I got through my heart procedures and thought I was on the mend until I started feeling like I couldn’t catch my breath. I could not deep breathe, I developed Viral Pneumonia, and I also have a chronic cough. I was admitted to the ER twice. The second time, they ordered many tests, and I had several specialists working very hard to figure out what was wrong.
Finally, my pulmonologist came into my room and explained that whoever did my heart procedures also damaged my phrenic nerve, which controls the diaphragm. My left diaphragm is pushing up into my left lung, causing partial lung collapse with lung paralysis. Because there is an area exposed, it is causing respiratory issues and pneumonia, which I can get over and over until this is fixed. I am waiting now for a date for surgery to correct this issue and restore my breathing.
I have never asked for anything in my life. I have learned to be self-sufficient, but I can’t do this by myself. I have rent and car insurance that need to be paid. Thanks to a beautiful woman, my rent is paid this month. I appreciate all the prayers and support, but the URGENCY to get enough money to pay my rent for 2 months while I wait for my surgery is EXTREMELY important. I won’t be able to work. I filed for disability, but that can take up to 2 months.
The total I need is $2400.00. If you can donate, every little amount helps meet my goal so I have a place to live while I recover. Thank you so much, Vanessa.
